Rasoulis was born in Heraklion, Crete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manolis Rasoulis was a Greek artist who wore many hats –
he wrote lyrics, sang, composed songs, and even worked as a journalist.
He left a huge mark on Greek music, and one of his most iconic projects was the album “The Revenge of the Gypsy Style,” which he put together with Nikos Xydakis<\/a> <\/strong>and Nikos Papazoglou<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 a record that really helped define the sound of Greek folk music.
To honor his legacy, a tribute concert at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus will bring some of his best-loved songs to life, drawn from his work with well-known composers and musicians.
Sadly, Rasoulis passed away on March 5, 2011, likely from a heart attack, though his body wasn’t discovered until March 13 in his apartment in the Toumba neighborhood of Thessaloniki. He was 65 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
