Rasoulis was born in Heraklion, Crete.
The Greek artist Manolis Rasoulis was a creative force with many talents, including writing lyrics, singing, songwriting, and journalism. His extensive body of work has had a lasting impact on Greek music. A notable example of his influence is the album "The Revenge of the Gypsy Style," which he recorded with Nikos Xydakis and Nikos Papazoglou, helping to shape the sound of Greek folk music. This tribute performance at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus will feature some of Rasoulis' most memorable songs from his collaborations with prominent composers and musicians.
His death is estimated to have come more than a week earlier, on March 5, from a suspected heart attack.

There is a memorial bust at the entrance to Sises.
