Saint Paraskevi of Rome (also known as Parasceva) is a Christian martyr from the 2nd century who people still honor today. She was arrested more than once because of her Christian faith and was eventually beheaded by a Roman governor named Tarasius.
People pray to her when they’re dealing with eye problems. The Church celebrates her feast day on July 26.
